I am Anke Rincon, a certified coach at SMFT Point Loma, specializing in weight loss and muscle building for women. Originally from South Africa, I bring over 12 years of coaching experience from the Middle East and have spent the last four years in San Diego. My diverse background enables me to understand the unique hormonal dynamics that influence women’s bodies.

Lauren Aros – Body Recomposition and Strength Coach
Hi there! I’m Lauren, owner of Aros Fitness. I’m a personal trainer who’s helped clients lose body fat, gain muscle and strength, and create sustainable habits since 2022. My passion for helping clients reach their fitness goals stems from both a lifelong love of physical activity and the firm belief that fitness is the key to longevity and overall enhanced quality of life.
Though active for most of my life, I often struggled with my weight and could never seem to shed those last 10 pounds. Then in 2021 my life changed forever: I had emergency surgery to remove an orange-sized stomach tumor and spent 10 days in the hospital. I lost 20 lbs. and was stripped of the muscle and strength I worked so hard for.
Determined to regain strength in a healthy way, I learned more about training and nutrition. Each day presented a different challenge, but this new chapter made me appreciate health and fitness on a deeper level. So much so that I walked away from a successful trial attorney career and became a full-time trainer.
My journey profoundly influences my approach to training. I believe that achieving a healthy body composition is about more than just aesthetics. It’s about dedication, intentionality, and building a foundation that supports both current and future well-being. Michael Alvarado – Hybrid Personal Trainer
My fitness journey began in middle school when I decided to take basketball more seriously. I was fortunate enough to work with a coach who was determined to see me succeed on and off the court. For years, we worked together practicing hoop drills, weight training, conditioning, and challenging my overall physical and mental health. The work ethic I developed during those years stayed with me and formed a basis for many of my future endeavors.
When I became a coach in 2015, my passion for fitness and helping others started to take shape. I was fortunate to start my training career at a club that had a team of knowledgeable, successful trainers whom I was able to shadow and learn from which really set a high standard for my training. As time went on, I found myself transferring from club to club throughout California, further enhancing my skill sets and most importantly meeting passionate people in fitness along the way.
In 2017 I ruptured my patella tendon during a freak accident that really put me through some challenges. I not only had to re-learn how to walk, but I also hired some trainers to help me progressively heal safely and effectively. I knew that I could use this opportunity to learn from more experienced coaches and, at the same time, gain insight into what it’s like to be a client. I took all this in along the way whether it was with my physical therapist or one of my two coaches. I recovered from that injury with a better understanding of what it takes to improve mobility, regeneration, addressing overactive/underactive issues, posture, balance, having the right mind set, and much more.
To this day, I consider myself a student of fitness and I do my best to enlighten myself and my clients on these topics. Oubigee Jones – Boxing & Personal Trainer
My name is Oubigee Jones, a native of Dallas, Texas. After graduating from high school, I enlisted in the Marine Corps, where I have proudly served for over 8+ years. Since 2020, I have been residing in San Diego.
My journey into fitness began at the age of 6 when I signed my first contract to play club soccer. Soccer was my primary sport for most of my life, and I received scholarships, coached youth programs in the U.S. and abroad, and played semi-professionally in Japan. Although I started boxing at the age of 8, it was not until I joined the Marines that my commitment to the sport intensified. I achieved significant success in boxing during my time in the Corps, including a successful amateur career and competing for the All-Marine Corps Boxing team, leading to my induction into the 2021 Hall of Fame class. Additionally, I served as a black belt martial arts instructor and a successful Drill Instructor at MCRD San Diego. In the summer of 2023, I competed in a classic physique bodybuilding competition and medaled in two different classes.
I share all of this to highlight not only my dedication to fitness, but also my desire of success. As a coach and trainer, my ultimate goal and passion are to not only focus on the physical aspects but also to mentor, inspire, and empower individuals to achieve their goals in any way possible. Wyatt Wermager – Functional Strength Expert
Are you looking to build functional strength, feel and look better than ever before? Look no further!My name is Wyatt Wermager, and I am the owner of Wyatt’s Workouts, operating my personal training business out of Self Made San Diego since April 2018.
I moved to San Diego from Colorado in 2018 to chase my dream of becoming a personal trainer, and now I have served 100’s of clients helping them become the strongest, most confident version of themselves.
My love for fitness began shortly after I graduated high school in 2015. I quit playing hockey after high school, and hockey was my main form of exercise for about 12 years, and I turned to the gym once my hockey career was over.
I was always a very skinny kid, but athletic. Once I got into working out, my focus was to build the strongest and most aesthetic physique possible. Over the past 8 years I have gone from a skinny 150 pounds to a solid 185 pounds without nearly any gain in body fat.
It all started out with a gym membership and a program I found on google, and it turned into getting certified through NASM, and eventually moving to San Diego to start my personal training career.
By 2020, I had built my dream body, built my dream business helping a ton of people, and then I was introduced to the game of golf.
I quickly became obsessed with it, and being a very competitive person who is chasing excellence in everything I do, golf became something I wanted to get good at.
I began studying the game of golf relentlessly, just as I had done with fitness, and my golf game started to develop quickly, and am now down to a 8 handicap in just under 4 years.
In June of 2023, I got certified through TPI (Titliest Performance Institute) to extend my knowledge on the golf specific fitness side of things, and am now working with a handful of golfers, helping them bring down their handicaps and hit the ball better than ever before.
I work with all types of people; men, women, young, middle aged, old, brand new to working out, and seasoned athletes. And they all love it!
What I have learned along my way is that no matter if you are a new mom looking to get back into shape, or a college athlete trying to go pro, the functional strength training principals I teach are going to help you get in the best shape of your life and crush your goals.
I love working with all types of people, because ultimately everyone can use help in some way.
