Hello! My name is Kasra “Kaz” Iranpour and I am a certified strength, conditioning, and rehab specialist at SMTF San Diego who specializes in rehab, functional strength training, and fat loss. I am originally from the Bay Area, born and raised in a small town of Martinez. I received my Bachelors in Health science, followed by my Masters of Exercise Physiology at San Jose State University. Part of my Masters program I created a lower back rehabilitation program to rehab numerous clients including myself who has suffered from severe herniated discs (L4-L5, L5-S1), and that ultimately sparked my passion for rehabilitation to supplement my training. I have been training for over 12 years and obtained certifications including the certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA, Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Performance Enhancing Specialist from NASM.

My love for fitness began after high school when I transitioned from competitive hockey to the gym. As a naturally skinny kid, I was determined to build a strong and aesthetic physique. Through years of dedicated training and continuous learning, I transformed my body and gained valuable knowledge that I now share with my clients.

From Hockey to Golf

In 2020, I discovered a new passion: golf. My competitive spirit drove me to excel in this sport, and I quickly became obsessed with improving my game. I studied relentlessly and, in 2023, became certified through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to deepen my understanding of golf-specific fitness.
